I’m an editor, writer, and dramaturg with expertise in theater, publishing, and marketing.
Background
I’ve been on staff at Disney Theatrical Group, TCG Books, Hearst Magazines, and Callisto Media, and my theater and film writing has been featured in American Theatre magazine, Broadway World, ink19, Show Business, + StageGrade. (If you look really hard on the interwebs you might even find an old blog of my theater, film, TV, and books criticism.)
Storyteller + Strategist
I’m a lover of language and narrative—nothing delights me more than crafting the perfect sentence or shaping a compelling story. Finding the right combination of tone, style, structure, word choice—that’s my happy place and I won’t quit until I’m (you’re) satisfied. In other words: I’m that editor/writer you come to when you need help crafting clear, concise, and creative content, whether it’s a manuscript, article, or marketing copy.
Representation + Inclusion
In everything I do—including my writing and editing—I am as inclusive and equitable as possible. Unless a project is targeted to a specific community, you’ll notice my language strives to be inclusive of all people, and my edits will reinforce the tenets of EDI whenever possible. While I’m not qualified to perform sensitivity readings for other communities, I can review your work specifically for its representation of women + make recommendations for consultants from other communities when requested. Words matter, so let’s choose them wisely, together.
